Race Pages Magazine Dyno Shootout Race Pages Magazine is hosting a dyno shootout for 4.6L and 5.0L-powered Fords and Mustangs in the very near future for a big magazine story we are doing. We here at Race Pages magazine want to find out who is putting the most power to the ground, and we want to expose real world combinations and the power they produce. Each car will get one half page of coverage in NMRA’s Race Pages Magazine. As part of this shootout, you will need to disclose all of your engine and car specifications to the magazine, including camshaft specifications, etc. If you aren’t willing to do so, don’t bother applying! The dyno test will be held either in Orange County or Los Angeles, so if you are local to So Cal, or want to tow your ride here for the shootout, either way is okay. We’re basically looking for eight 5.0L/Windsor powered Fords and eight modular 4.6L/5.4L powered cars (‘03-’04 Cobras, too) that are willing to slug it out on the chassis dyno. You will get up to three passes, and there is zero tuning or adjustments allowed. There will be a 5-6 minute cool down between runs. The dyno date is TBA at this time, but will be in the month of April or May. The dyno test may take place during the work week or on the weekend. If you are interested, complete the simple application below and send it to Race Pages Magazine care of Staff Editor Jake Amatisto at: jamatisto@promediapub.com -- we will contact you within 2 weeks for further information and/or to let you know whether your application has been accepted. Name: Home Phone: Mobile Phone: E-Mail: Hometown: Car: Engine type: Cubic inches: Heads: Cam: Exhaust: Power adder: Transmission: Est. horsepower Est. torque Est. elapsed time: Has the car ever been dyno’d before? If so, what did it make?
