My NJ plates don't line up with the holes in the front bumper of my '01 Cobra. I'm thinking of drilling new holes in the plates - Will I get hassled when its time to turn them in. Any suggestions?
The dimples in the front bumper of the '01 Cobra are not for the license plate, but for the license plate holder that the Ford dealer should have provided you. When I took delivery of mine, I told them not to mount it, but to put it in the trunk; which they did. The rounded front bumper prevents direct mounting of the front plate, at least in a way that does not warp the plate.
