I know and I agree. Maybe next year will be better (hopefully), maybe tax time will be better, but to be honest, I made some stock changes back when the market took a dive (9 months ago or so) and have made/gained money well past the $5000 price of these wheels to reinvest in other Shelby stuff. If I were in the market for a set of these wheels, I could have easily bought them from a few shares of Apple stock alone, especially after the 4 way split a couple of months ago. I look at it as diversity in my portfolio, some is tangible, like Shelby stuff and some is not (and when the non-tangible stuff loses, you have nothing). Some of it makes money and some of it breaks even during ownership and the "gain" is owning and/or using the item(s). I also know there are many other wheel options out there for far less money........but then what is their "investment" value? Are they wheels that can be bought, kept nice, use and enjoy and sell for what was paid or possibly a profit? or are they wheels that are bought, there are plenty of them out there, and the recoup at sale time is pennies on the dollar? It is always a gamble, but "usually" the rare/hard to find stuff wins in the end and the common stuff just keeps going lower and lower in value......
