FS: 99 Cobra 3650 Transmission

I dont know if its normal but you have to put it in gear before putting it into reverse. offers......

It was my understanding that a 99 was the 1st year they put the 3650 in? Are there identification numbers that will tell me?

'99's have the T45. The 3650 was a midyear 2000 and up thing ('01 cobras).

Is there any markings on my transmission to tell me what it is.

It says Tremec on the Transmission, which means it is a 3650. T45's say Borg Warner on them........................ Any comments?

Either way, there should be a metal tag attached to the side of the transmission somewhere. If you can find that and get me the numbers off it I can tell you exactly what it is. It should be "XR3R-AB", or XR3R-7003-AB".

On 9-18-2000 the TR3650 replaced the T45. No earlier, no later. If your car has a 3650 now, that's because at one point in your cars life the trans had been changed.
