Sorry to reopen this...but i am having this issue as well...i have a return style. Except after driving my car for an hour with windows down and then stop at a light it smells of fuel bad...no leaks anywhere...ideas?

If you said the car smells after sitting in the garage I would lean more towards the fuel line weeping, bad/torn filler gasket or simply a leaky fitting. However the scenario you just mentioned isn't typical of fuel hose weep. You'd really need to have quite a bit of fuel coming from that line for it to smell bad while driving and coming to a stop. Are you sure that you've checked all fittings even on the bottom side of the regulator and behind the rails? Check the NPT threads on the fuel pressure gauge and 1/8" npt ports on the regulator as well. Those are typically the places fuel leak from and could cause the smell of fuel while at a stop as there's pressure on the system when the car is running.

Let me know what you find after a little more trouble shooting.

Thanks,
Jared
