But a buddy who has a Y2K GoCart with the Bassani catback, race quite a bit, and lately he has been whooping on me. Usually when we were 'stock' It was a 50/50 deal....Then he got his exhaust, and he kept beating me...then at the track last time, I could only muster a 15.7 (clutch is going) to his 15.3..Nothing killer, but hey...not bad for GoCarts. My best stock was a 15.49.
Anyways, tonight on the way home from work I see him, and I wasn't gonna race him, but i was like 'What the F_ck'. It was pretty cool out tonight too, which help as my MAF is calibrated for cold air. So I pull up next to him in 3rd @ 5k roughly, and we both punch....WHOO HOO My GoCart is pullinng on him pretty damn good. We did that a few times...and EVERYTIME I pulled!!!!! Yippee!! My Butt Dyno was wrong, I thought she felt slower since my mods..but nope......
then we got about 2 lights, and if my darn clutch was slipping i would have maybe gotten a fender I think, but once third hit, I pulled pretty good.
