for 2 weeks. Anybody have any suggestions on what to do. Reason for the trip is my wife is going to be taking the LEO test for the Anchorage P.D. We will be looking at houses and stuff like that also.
Burrrrrrr. I have been to Anchorage about a dozen times for work over the past 8 years. I would definately recommend eating at Humpy's (vicinity of 5th and G st downtown). They have awesome beer battered Halibut filets and some great fish sandwiches and salads. They also have local live entertainment in the evenings.
They also have the world famous Great Alaskan Bush Co, but I doubt if your wife would let you go there.
Bush Co. is a must. Also 4th Street Station or something like that is a good place for a drink and dinner (good looking staff); it is right behind the Hilton. Anchorage is a tough place to visit in the winter.
