Put my car up on a lift last night, changed the pinion seal which has been leaking for a while. Took the cover off the diff expecting to find devastation and destruction of the gears. Closed my eyes and reached into the bottom of the diff and it's clean as a whistle!!! WOOOHOOO!!! Put it back together and she is fine. With all the noise the rear had been making I'm very surprised.
The bad news is that the minor leak in the back of my lower intake is not as minor as I thought it was.
