I have a pro-5.o and it is a little notchy too. But like Power said, all of them will be notchy. If you have to switch, then i suggest the tri-ax b/c that, and the pro-5.0 are the best out there. The Hurst i spring loaded which is great for power shifting, but sucks daily driving. My friend had one in his GT and it was annoying. If i were you, id just save your money and stick with the pro-5.0.
I've got the Hurst Billit, and really like it. But I've had a Pro 5.0 before and think I liked it better. The Pro 5.0 felt smoother, but maybe it was just the tranny I was feeling.
