Well gang...I took the plunge!

The Nitto's are good but I decided to take the pure drag racing route. I'll be saving the Nitto's for the street.

I ordered a set of custom made (one of a kind if noone else orders these specs :) ) Bogart Drag Racing rims a few weeks ago.

Basically the same rims as Marty has but with a larger backspace (6.5).

I'm having to run 1/4 inch spacers now to get my Nitto's to fit. My total backspace with the Nitto's is "about" 7.5 so that extra inch of backspace should be just perfect.

My Mickey Thompson ET Drags arrived today!!!!

I had to order tubes too.....should be interesting.......on Friday they are getting fit tested.

Rims: 6.5 backspace, 15 x 9.

Wheels: Pure ET DRAG! 28x15x9.

With the total wheel height of the Nitto being 28.8 and the ET Drag being 28...I should be ok. And the GRAB should be AWESOME!

Pics coming Friday after the fit test at the shop!

2 weeks ago I couldn't manage anything better than like a 1.8 0-60 foot time on the Nitto's...with a 13.5psi pulley! But...EVERYONE was having problems hooking up....bad track prep. Plus we had a 40-50mph CROSSwind...wierd.

She's pegged at 13.5psi all the way down the track..and running great.

Can't wait to see how these drag tires work out!

Keep us posted on how these tires work. I've been thinking about a "pure drag" set up myself. This should be very interesting indeed!

Tires were put on the rims today. ET Drags with tubes on the Bogart Rims...

Only very minor problem was that the holes for the air studs were not drilled large enough for the air studs on the tubes I ordered. No problem for the tire shop I deal with...they handled it....minimal cost.

Pics coming tomorrow with the fit test!!!

Sorry...but missed getting pics!

The fit test went great!

Perfect backspace and all was well....Thank god! as they were spendy.

The ET Drags look awesome.

Should bring obvious great traction!

Times to come....bit cold to go to the track today.
