I bought a P226 Legion about a year ago... maybe a bit more. I was/am really disappointed. I had a P226 Elite in .40 SW and sold it for a standard P226. The beaver tail was snagging on everything and it was my EDC. I took the standard, added a SIG SRT to it and life was good. Target shooting 8x11 steel targets at 100 yards, NP. The Legion came out. Figured since I switched to a G17 for my EDC, I may as well get a 9mm P226 Legion for a range toy. There were supposed to be improvements to the frame, slide, sights, slide release, grips, trigger, guide rod... basically, everything. Reality, the beaver tail still sucks even though it was an "improved design". The X-Five frame job was terrible, cutting my fingers up. The front sight dot fell out. The "improved trigger" was identical to my SIG SRT. The worst part was, when the weapon recoiled, there is some kind of a balance issue that is causing the weapon to pull up and right, making the return to target very slow and awkward... and the round would hit low and at 8 o'clock. I locked it in a bench vice and it would knock the bullseye out at 10 yards, but everyone who I asked to shoot it, all had the same reaction to it. They all complained about the weird recoiled and mentioned the weapon needed to be sighted. Sent it to SIG and spent $180 for them to tell me the weapon was accurate and working as designed. I took the grips and the low-profile slide lock off it, put them on my .40 SW P226, and the Legion hasn't left the safe since.
