[QUOTE="08mojo, post: 16262792, member: 132915"] I like that GM produced the C8, I'm actually impressed. That said, I hope it makes people want to dump their C7Z so I can scoop one up for my next car. I was hoping to get a GT500 (used), but it doesn't sound like it will be released by the time my current lease is up to buy one on the used market. I had signed my current lease thinking the GT500 would hit the streets this year. Good job ford, we are going on year number 6 without a GT500. I'm eagerly awaiting some real world tests of the C8. A lot of internet bench racing going on at the moment--show me the track times and real world results. I never understood why people don't like the C6 interior. It's been one of my favorites, and I've had some nice cars: jeep srt, m3, is 300, golf r (you'd be surprised at the interior on the top tier golf r), etc... The C6 interior was nearly perfect to me, especially in 3LZ form. The car was very driver oriented, large tach, large speedo, and all the right supporting gauges: oil temp (displayed electronically), oil pressure, voltage, coolant temp. To top it all off, it had a heads-up display that worked well. Everything was soft-touch materials, outside of the 'carbon fiber' console surround, which to me was also tastefully done. 3LZ got you leather covered everything and nice stitching to go with it. The AC controls were dedicated and sparse: just the basics and the auto function worked well. The AC vents were in just the right places. The radio was okay, but it was a simple double din--so replacing it with an aftermarket unit was really easy and still looked like it belonged in the car. All the new cars have custom displays and integrate other functions into the radio display (or, I suppose now it is called an infotainment display)--good luck replacing that with something better from the aftermarket.
