I'm not sure if this is the right section to post this or not.. But a very good friend of mine is enlisted in the US army and was just deployed to Iraq.

I'm going to be sending him regular care packages/goodies.

HOWEVER, I'm not sure what exactly I should send him, or what he would want/need the most.

He's a huge mustang fanatic and loves his diesel trucks, so I'll be sending pleanty of magazines over, but other than that.. I'm stumped.

Sooo.... What should I be sending? Or what would help him out while he's over there?

Also, whats the best way of going about sending packages over?

Thanks a ton!

Go to the post office and you can get a flat rate box. It doesn't matter how many pounds it is it'll cost around $12 to send it.

I agree about the flat rate box, it's much cheaper that way.

I sent my brother magazines while he was deployed and some cookies and candy. If you send any food try to send things that won't melt or get completely destroyed. I tried to send stuff to him that he probably wouldn't see out there like huckleberry taffy (which is made in MT) and a few other things.
