a couple of weeks ago I delivered chemicals and paints to DuPont chemical plant here in Delaware some kind of metallic dark yellow and a metallic maroon pigment batches destined for ford development.
it was 320 gallons for "special testing only" I know the shipper had it destined for Michigan and then to somewhere else.

new car or something? special paint for upcoming mustang or other ford car?

what do you all think about this?

Ford is always testing stuff like that. They may just be thinking about switching suppliers of existing colors, such as Tangerine Scream on the Focus.

I delivered 2 pup trailers to DuPont with that color a month ago. no paint just the pigment batches a lot of weight.
ford uses a couple of suppliers for their paint pigments hell they always have done that. could be a special color for a special car maybe or maybe not.

They want to see how the paint lays on aluminum body panels, possibly for an all aluminum mustang in the future! Of course this pure speculation!
