Is anyone else's hood liner coming loose around the hood vents? I noticed a few weeks ago but it didn't look too bad, then yesterday after washing it I noticed that it is really starting to pull away now and it was soaking wet after the wash. It makes sense that the water would get down in there but is there something that can be done about it or does ford have a newer liner out for our cars?

Take it off. There's no way to keep it looking good if you ever drive in bad weather or wash it at a car wash. Besides, you can hear the S/C'er better w/ it off.

Yep-

I got a brand new one waranty cause mine was stained
with white water marks, I removed my old one but didn't
put on the new one-Still in the box if I want to install.
Same thing with the rubber valance below front bumper.
Mine was scrated up on delivery but have a new one to
keep around.

Yep-

The only thing is that I worry about heat directly on
the hood now. Also if somethin' goes like a belt with
no blower belt shield-could damage the hood as the
insulation does offer some protection.....hmmmmmm

Mine also started to absorb water, so I cut it out a little bigger than the vent and used HVAC aluminum tape around the cutout. Others have used U-shaped trim (availible from JC Whitney (and you thought their catalog was only for Ricers... well, maybe it is, but just stay away from the "Spoilers" pages).

You can get the Al tape at Lowes or Home Depot near the AC filters.

Or you can just ditch it. It's there mostly to improve your AM reception anyway.
