Hood Liner ?

What the heck is the wire (ground) that attaches to the liner for? I was thinking of pulling the liner off, but I was wondering about the function of that sucker. :??:

I believe its a ground to help Radio interference.

I dont understand how a wire, running to ground from a FIBERGLASS part helps interference, but...

I removed mine and have no problem, either with radio or car starting

if you look at the back of the liner it has that foil thats why you need the grounding wire

Feel free to remove the liner...there are NO ill effects.
