How effective is the stock Cobra oil cooler?

I think upgrading the oil cooler is a wasted mod for most people, if you track race the car then yes I definitely would go for it, but for street/strip cars I dont think it's really that necessary. I think you're better off upgrading the engine coolant system with say the Evans pump, thermostat and a much bigger radiator like the LFP which will in turn help cool the oil.

I regret putting more cooling in my Cobra about as much as installing the Whipple.

My "96 Cobra oil cooler is leaking internally. I am getting oil in the cooling system big time and I just got through with a complete O'haul on the engine and then replaced the head gaskets again but the cooler seems to be the only other way it could be happening. I have a ton in this car and the cooler is another $450. I just want to get rid of this thing. Nice car but I am going to take a big hit on this one. Maybe I should just part it out?
