How to: Slow down turn signal flash rate

You can see along the one side where i cracked it, don't to that.</p><p>[ATTACH=full]469392[/ATTACH]</p><p></p><p>Once out the relay should look something like this.</p><p>[ATTACH=full]469393[/ATTACH]</p><p></p><p>Now you're going to want to take the capacitor you bought and snip the leads a little over half off and bend the ends around forming a little "U".</p><p>[ATTACH=full]469394[/ATTACH]</p><p>These "U"s are going to get latched around each side of the 3.3 uF capacitor already on the relay and get soldered creating a 4.3 uF capacitor.</p><p>[ATTACH=full]469395[/ATTACH]</p><p>If you wanted an even slower flash rate with the 4.7 uF capacitor then you would cut off the 3.3 uF and solder in just the 4.7 uF capacitor.</p><p></p><p>Now you can plug the relay back in the car without the yellow cover to test that everything works as it should. Make sure the car is running or you won't get proper voltage and strange things will happen. If everything seems to be working as it should you can throw the yellow cover back on and install back on the clip attached to the fuse block.</p><p></p><p>Here is a before video showing how the last flasher is not very noticeable with the stock flasher.</p><p>[youtube_browser]xq-E0J5p01k[/youtube_browser]</p><p>This shows what it should look like after the modification, notice the last bulb fully lighting up.
