Installed Boss Manifold Where does the idler controler go?????

I have installed the Boss Intake manifold on my 2012 mustang gt and I have the plug for the idler control left open? I have no place to put it on the manifold? Is it supossed to be like this?

There is no IAC (idler control) on 05+ Mustangs. Idle control is done via the throttle body.

I assume that what you are referring to is the EVAP solenoid that is located next to the throttle body on stock manifold.

Yes, this needs to be plugged in. Either you use the EVAP solenoid that comes on the Boss, which if you purchased from a reputable vendor, should have been included in the package or at least mentioned at the time of sale as necessary accessories to the install. Or you have to rig up the stock manifold's EVAP solenoid and some hoses to make the proper connections.


The EVAP solenoid on the Boss manifold is located at the drivers rear of the manifold. If you are going this route, you have to extend the wires to the new location.
