the original owner of my car was my uncle who tracked the cobra it’s whole life. First 3 years was on the stock brakes and then 8 years on the R brakes then he moved to the stoptech 13”x1.25” front two piece and MM wilwood 12.7”x1.25” rear two piece floating strip on late 2014 and then tracked that setup for two years before he retired from tracking. I picked the car up last year with the BBK setup on the car ready to go. if you can trust what he told me then this is what his data showed: Stock brakes. 1-2 events for each set of rotors and pads equally. Hawk blue pads cobra R brakes. 3-4 events on the rotors and pads would go around 3 events. cobra R setup with brake ducting. 4-5 events on rotors. 4 events on pads. Hawk pads. front and rear BBK mentioned above. 15 events on rotors and 6-7 events on pads hawk pads From my research hawk pads are aggressive on life span but do work great. I’ve switched to raybestos which have high initial bite and perhaps not as high of a grip but the longevity is suppose to be amazing. The 20 year veterans says I’ll get an entire season on rotors and pads. Of course I’ll believe it when I see it. Again. Source if information is from a guy that I trust. Hope this helps. I have no clue how the ats would fit into this.
