Thanks. I have 6 uncles, my dad and 1 aunt. Grandma had 8. The youngest Rob is now 57 has been a Ford tech for 37 years. He's a Ford master tech plus a whole bunch of other certifications and such. The oldest "Jeff" is the one who I bought my cobra from who purchased it new when he was 50 and road raced the car it's entire life. He has been a motor head for 50 years and does all of his own work. My uncle "Tim" just recently passed away but he was a construction jack of all trades and self taught paint/body. My uncle "James" has a 4,000sqft wood shop/paint booth and between the four of them they have restored several cars. The most recent is this AMX for a close friend. When you have family that has this experience I've just learned to listen and trust. Sure they are not always right... my uncle Rob the ford tech doesn't believe in huge modifications so he's more of an OEM type guy. my uncle Jeff is the ballsy builds high end shit type of guy and loves horsepower. Back on topic: I think the ATS is completely fine for street/drag use. I think it's a hell of an upgrade. Sure any of the modifications is questionable but I don't think it's "that" big of a deal. I would like to get my hands on the ATS caliper just to compare it to my 00' R and weigh/measure them.
