Intake - Butterflies

I took the lower intake off and started to cleaning the butterfly from carbon build-up. Hope to have to done before I dyno the car this Wed. Question has any one ever take the butterflies off the lower intake instead of buying a delete kit. How does it performs. Will there be any problem in the long run. Or just leave it alone.

I assume you are talking about the IMRC's. You can remove the acctual butterfly's from it, but I think without a really good tune, you are gonna loose some low-end trq. Basically the same as if you just got deletes.

Yes, and on Wed. I getting my custom chip burn and tune because the car is running a little rich.
