The 6.2 only has 400 h.p & 400 lb.torque, while the 5.4 has 320 h.p & 390 lb. Im not trying do discourage the 6.2 but only 10lb diff on the torque what gives?

I don't think the final numbers have been publushed for the 6.2 I think most times it has said 400+. I would not be surpirsed to see 425 or more hp or tq. It should be easier to get more power from the motor as well.

I won't discourage you from the 5.4 though since I just ordered one myself;-)

the 5.4 make 365lb-ft on regular gas. The 390 number is on E85. Common mistake :read:

the 5.4 is tuned for torque. specifically low end torque, something like 80% of the torque has hit before you reach 2k rpms.
ford could easily tune the same engine to 380hp and 340tq if they wanted to. they dont because it would hurt truck performance....
