Alright - Car got dropped off at Paul's. He took a cursory look at it. Blower is to loud - likely toast Some Valve Train Noise - Can't tell because of Blower Clutch is not setup correctly - Likely a Fork, Pivot Ball or TOB miss-match Trans maybe damaged (A ****ING GAIN) because of the clutch engagement issues. Rear Suspension is too loud - even with solids So our goal right now is get the trans out and that whole mess fixed up. He's going to pull the belt off the blower and do some trouble shooting. The car has a lower pulley which he did not seem to be a fan of and believes is what may have killed the blower (over spinning). With that said - here are my own objectives. Fix Transmission Issue - (Could be as much as $4k, ($1,200 clutch, $1,900 rebuild + labor). In the event the trans needs rebuilt I'm leaning one of two way - **** it, run it until it god damn explodes or buy a Magnum and sell the trans for rebuild/parts (like $500 - $800 meaning a Magnum is $500 premium over a rebuild). If the blower is toast, which sounds to be the case - I have three options - Rebuild the KB, which I can't get a quote from them unless I send it to them and I've heard its $2k+. That's a no-go. That means either a used Eaton or an Upgrade. I'm leaning toward the Eaton - $500 to $800 for a used one, get the car retuned and sell the busted KB2.2 for ~ $1k to recoup some of that money. So those two things should get me here - Running Driving Car that is able to shift well, making ~ 520whp / 520 ft/tq and overall snugged up nice with 45k miles. If driving the car feels great and is enjoyable, I'll likely keep it. If not, I should be able to then sell it for around $20k I'd imagine. If the engine and trans are toast - I want out and I'm not sure what the best option would be. Stock blower and try and get $17k? Say **** it and sell it for $15k all pulled apart and not even have Paul put the trans back in or anything?
