I haven't bought any recently, but I have not had any problems with them. I currently have them on my car. They're at least 10 yrs old.

After sitting that long, the seals probably dried and became brittle. It might not be a manufacturing problem.

The other shock may start leaking sooner than later.

At only $90 each, I'd replace both.

I put fox Lakewood 90/10 in the front because the car is so low and on 12-150lb coil overs but I kept the rears the 94-04 50/50 but my car is lowered could that be the issue should I have used the fox rears

No, it's actually the opposite.

For lowered cars, you want the 79-93 front struts for increased travel. The strut has a shorter body. I have these, with coilovers, on my car also.

I don't think Lakewood lists a specific 94-04 shock. It shouldn't matter, as there are shocks that have fitments for 87-04.
