Went to install my new idlers since I got the right size SC belt yesterday. I got the Metco 3-90s and 1-100mm. Got the old belt and idlers off, new ones on and started to put the new belt on and realized that it was definitely to short. I double check the size chart, and the belt I ordered and it should've been right, but we definitely too short. I checked the part number on the belt I took off and its actually longer than the one I ordered. (the one I ordered was supposed to be longer to compensate for the aux idler and the 100mm I was adding to the system) The previous owner had told me the car had a 4# lower. Come to find out, its actually a 6lb lower. The belt that was on the car was actually too long. So I installed my new idlers, minus the aux idler, and was able to reuse the old belt. The addition of the 1-100mm idler game me the right length for the belt that came off. So, good news/ bad news. Need to get another belt to fit the aux idler, but come to find out I have the 6# lower which is the one I actually wanted. Sorry no pictures, just happy the belt/idler squeak is gone. I am assuming since the belt was so much longer than it should have been, this new setup should yield me less belt slip and more boost. Will find out this weekend.
