I've got a problem with my radio antenna. The base of it is loose and shakes around with the antenna. This is causing the metal under the antenna base to bend slightly. I can't figure out a way to get under the base to tighten it again. Does anyone have any ideas?

 I had the same problem on my '95 Cobra. After messing with it for a while and reading the service manual, I found the right answer: use a small tip screwdriver, with a protective shim under it, to protect the paint, and pry up on the base (there may be a lock nut on top of the base). It WILL come loose - there are two or three small screws under it that secure the antenna to the fender! Mine were loose, and one of them had an oversized hole, and wouldn't tighten up. Not having a screw that would fit, I took it out and wrapped a short piece of teflon tape (plumber's tape) around the screw, and it tightened up okay. That was some time ago, and the antenna is still tight!
