I started my cobra up today and the low oil light came on. This is the second time the light has come on. I added a quart and the light went off. I am 1000 miles into the last oil change. I change the oil every 2000 miles. Is it possible to loose oil this fast. Has anyone else have this problem? How often do you guys have to change your oil?

Texas is the best..
Dude,go by your dipstick measurement..The 96's low oil sensor was notoriously over sensitive..They had it fixed in 97 or 98 if I'm not mistaken...Look for puddles or smoke if you think you really are loosing oil...Good luck...

mine does the same damn thing. Park on a slope, the light comes on.
As far as checking dipstick measurements goes, make sure you do it on a flat surface, at least 45 minutes after driving. Check it in the morning is the best thing to do
