Ok a buddy of mine picked up a bone stock 04 Mach 1. He just added a BBk off road x-pipe. After everything was together we noticed a slight tap/knock consistent with the engine lope. It only starts to tap/knock once the car gets a heated up. We threw her back on the lift and it appeared to be coming from the bellhousing. We dropped the tranny last night and noticed the pilot bearing was worn. So we changed the pilot bearing, throw bearing put a new Spec disk in and added an 03 Cobra aluminum flywheel that he had laying around. Got her all back together and she ran for a minute and we thought cool it was that pilot bearing! Well she started to tap again and we are back to square one. We have checked the X-pipe after installation and there is nothing loose on it! So we are just puzzled. We are pros at dropping the T-3650 and reinstalling it in NASCAR crew like times now! Any suggestions will be appreciated at this point!
