@cleon238 There is some incorrect information being given here that I'll try to correct. Fist off you can't simply re-flash your computer with the stock tune from a handheld, swap the injectors, maf and go pass smog. Why? Because the check sum on your vin will change and you'll be sent to the state Ref for a modified ecu. This is how they check for a modified ecu fyi. I know someone dealing with a similar problem. Flashed the stock tune back in and still got nailed. People claiming they've done it are either lying or somehow snuck through before the new procedures were fully implemented. Now as for flashing the ecu a dealer may or may not be able to help you. You can't toss in a stock maf and injectors and drive down to the dealer and have them flash it. If it drives it will be like shit and you take the chance of engine damage. You'll need to have the car towed to the dealer because not one that I've found can bench flash your ecu. I've literally called 3 in my area and all said they don't have that capability. If you can find one that's a huge plus. The other option is a new ecu from someone like flagship one. You'll need Forescan to reprogram your keys too. You might be able to send it to them to be flashed with the stock tune. This would save the tow to the dealer and may even save some money when you total it all up. I would keep the jlt because it's got a carb number. Buy an OE maf, injectors, elbow, and pulley and smog it. Yes the pulley guard can work but why risk it when you're already this deep into de modding the car? Good luck.
