[QUOTE="qwk08snk, post: 16233214, member: 147496"] Just went through the same crap. Replaced Oem shifter with mgs gen 1, shifting was notchy but passable, after upgrading blower to vmp 2.3 I blew clutch had s McLeod txt installed by a shop I thought knew what they were doing..shifting got worse and worse wad so bad I had to smash it into reverse..ok so I added a gen 2 mgw shifter, shifter brtter but still notchy and still difficult to get into reverse..the installer that did the new shifter said the clutch wad dragging and had zero space from the floor . I almost had to put my foot through the f Poor to get it into reverse and other shifts were somewhat notchy...so ordered another txt and had him install clutch, release bearing and braided clutch line. Car is awesome now, shifts like a knife through butter and click right into reverse. I talked to Billy at McLeod and he said they had heard of this type of problem with a bad install.. so all in all two shifters two clutches and a pile of money and she's better than new.. believe me when i say the problem was with the clutch install.
