AmericanMuscle.com and Modern Muscle Design are giving away the Project MMD Mustang

By Steve Turner

Would you like to own a 2014 Mustang GT? Would love to own a 2014 Mustang GT loaded with $30,000 worth of upgrades from AmericanMuscle.com and Modern Muscle Design? Those are silly questions, right? Of course you would. However, the real kicker is you could not only own this car–you could win it.

That’s right you could win a car that has starred at industry events like the Specialty Equipment Market Association (in the Forgestar booth) and appeared on the cover of national Mustang magazines. However, it’s not the car’s fame that will make it fun, it’s the fact that it’s already been completely upgraded by the crew at AmericanMuscle.com and that process was documented on the company’s site in photos and videos.

MMD kicked off the appearance mods with Forgestar wheels, Nitto Invo tires, and an Air Ride suspension. Then they added the company’s GT350 Window Covers, a painted hood scoop, headlight splitters, a ducktail spoiler, a carbon-fiber dash kit, retro mirrors, taillight trim, Boss-style foglight deletes, an MMD antenna cover, and more. However, when the car was selected to hold court in the Forgestar booth at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada, MMD turned to the AmericanMuscle.com crew to step up the car’s performance to back up its striking appearance.

AM immediately upped the performance of the already formidable Coyote engine by boosting it with a Vortech supercharger system. Helping it breathe is a new, high-flow JLT Performance inlet of the blower. On the backside, a Ford Racing Performance Parts Boss-style H-pipe and side-exit exhaust help the combo exhale. The final piece to the combo was a Snow Performance Boost Cooler, which tames detonation and cools the inlet temps with a mist of water and methanol. All told, the combo put down 589 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque at the wheels on AmericanMuscle’s in-house Dynojet chassis dyno.

The car's winner will be chosen on August 4, 2014, and the lucky winner will receive the keys at the massive AmericanMuscle car show held at Maple Grove Raceway on August 16, 2014. We’re sure you get it by now. It’s a cool car and you can win it. Just click here to sign up for the chance.
