So a while back in this end of the forum I made a request for a recommended exhaust/fabrication shop to do some work to my car. There weren't any recommendations so I did some searching. After perusing the net I found a place up in Birmingham, AL that seemed to fit the bill, Morgan Performance Fabrication (MPfab).

The exhaust has since been completed and because I had a hard time tracking down a solid place that was willing to embark on fabricating an exhaust for my car I wanted to post this review for other users (that also need some fab work done).

Let me start off by saying my exhaust is fairly oddball compared to the average dual 2.5" catback setup which is probably why I had such a difficult time finding somebody that was willing to make something for my car. Walker at MPfab was the first person who was actually willing and interested in tackling the job. This to me means a lot, versus somebody who acts like taking your business is more of a toll to to them then anything else. From the get go Walker (the shop owner/fabricator) seemed interested in doing the work and took the time on the phone with me to discuss how we were going to approach the job.

I had to make a few trips up (my work schedule is kind of crazy) and over the course of my two visits he had a variety of projects going on. I saw everything from a C1 corvette, a custom chopper, to an Aston Martin up there. He was willing to work with me on this project and I very much appreciate that. After much going back and forth on ideas we finally decided to go with the exhaust starting off as a 4" system, transitioning into 3.5" oval for ground clearance and then going out the back into a hidden outlet. Overall it turned out amazing. Here are the pics, the work speaks for itself:

I wish I had better pictures, but iPhone pictures is all I have. The last shot is to demonstrate how well hidden the outlet is.

Since having the work done I have found other shops that are closer to me that could have done the work. However due to Walker's willingness to tackle the job, the quality of his work, and how the exhaust turned out I have no quibbles with traveling up to his shop again. In fact have a few more fabrication projects that I want done to finish my car off and I fully plan on making the trip back up to MPfab to have the work done.

If you want a true gearhead and somebody that has and truly appreciates attention to detail working on your pride and joy, then I highly recommend MPfab in Birmingham, AL.

Here is a link to the MPfab website for anybody interested:

I'd like to hear how that thing sounds. Looks good.

Thanks for the info on the shop.
