Have you guys heard the news about a guy doing over 200km/hr(125mph+) and crashing on Hastings St.? It was around 430am on Sunday, thats just crazy and stupid, I feel sorry for him and his family to go through this but to go that fast on a street with so much black ice everywhere its just plain stupid.
Rest in peace man!! But let it be a lesson to anybody who ever wants to try this. Im not a saint and have done some crazy stuff in the past but the question pops into mind-was the car stolen or what was it that he was in such a rush to get to? Anybody heard more info on this?

Horrific crash in Burnaby kills one
Jan, 09 2005 - 7:00 AM

BURNABY(CKNW/AM980) -- There's been a fatal crash in Burnaby Sunday morning.

Corporal Pierre Lemaitre says a man in his mid-20's was driving his late 90's Mustang down Hastings Street about 200-kilometers an hour, when he hit a lamp standard between Sperling and Fell.

He says the vehicle was torn into three pieces.

Lemaitre says street racing does not appear to be involved.

Thats just horrible, I just wonder why was he gunning it like that?
Thats a third or fourth crash in the past couple of years involving a stang that turned fatal, last one I believe happened in Richmond at a guys wedding. I dont know if you remember that, 4 guys were going over 160+ on River Road and lost control. 3 of them died. I think most just dont get it that its a rear wheel drive car with a lot of torque and once you loose control its very hard to bring it back on track. Myself Im planning on taling a coarse at Mission to get a bit better and know what to do if the car looses control. I know really well how to drive a front wheel car but when it comes to rear wheel drive I consider myself a newbie even though Ive had a stang in the past before this one.

I know I saw this in the News Paper? Why...? the speed on these roads? Can't Explain other then a Death Wish.

I have seen way to many Mustangs with the classic Tear off at the Firewall and splits the stang into 2 peices (a few survived). Never 3 pcs. that is just wrong!

Kudo's! Tman! getting to know the limits on your mustang will build great confidence. Taking a drivers coarse is not only Fun! you will learn so much about your Mustang's capability and you will be surprised how much ya learn from the Pro's!
