I have been loving the hell out of my 4r70 swap. I dont have the same converter as you guys but mine is a little tight as well. The stall was 3200 however I can only foot brake the car to about 2500. Although I am not complaining the car drives very well, and boost comes on great now. I have been fighting the same tailshaft issue. I am on my 3rd seal. I ended up pulling the extension housing and having aamco put a new bushing and seal in. However the seal they used blew completely out on me (like the entire seal came out of the trans) so i went up to ford and bought another oem one and sealed the metal to metal contact points with a little RTV just to keep it in the extension housing. I havent had anymore drips but I just put the new ford seal in on Saturday. Maybe 40 miles on the car since then. I can say even with all the little hiccups I am really happy I made the swap. I am on a fully jerry mod stock VB with a Baumanattor controlling everything. Lockup and all. I havent wired my reverse lights in yet either but I dont think it will be to hard at all for me anyways cause I am running 2 harnesses. The T56 for the 02's and VSS and then I run the 5.0 harness for the solenoids and trans controls. I just hard wired the VSS off the T56 to the 5.0 harness. What are you guys doing with the clutch sensors? I still have the clutch pedal in my car I just tucked it under the carpet for now. However I got the mach 1 brake assembly in the garage about to swap it in. I was thinking of running the clutch safety switch to a push button and hiding it somewhere as a little theft control. I read a few others just ziptie it but I want to be able to use my cruise control again.
