Check it out... Here is the game plan in a nutshell... 1 clean '80 notch with a 85hp 6 and 3 speed auto owned by an older woman; basically never modified or abused. Strip it down to a shell and restore the car to my specifications(black interior, cage and various custom/aftermarket touches). during this process, construct a bullet proof drivetrain using an adapter to mate a SFI TKO-302 housing to the SHO block( Canfield Industries Fort Collins, Colorado Welding, Machining, and Performance Auto Parts ) and having a custom flywheel made(Clutchmasters). And of course, built the front and rear susp/axle and chassis. Prep it, spray it and put it all together. Looking to ~750hp and <3000lbs. Anyway, onto what's been going on... Day 1. just got her home :) Gettin rid of the horrid porno interior! Havin some fun More destruction... 85hp woo hoo!! And just enough to harness it :) Made up some caster axles to I could move it around the garage... Put the wife to work :) Looking good! Still have a lot of work to do but I'm getting there. Canfield Industries is building me an adapter plate for my Lakewood SFI 302-TKO bellhousing so it will bolt to the SHO/vulcan Block. Clutchmasters is building me a custom flywheel as well that is equivalent to any 5.0 mustang flywheel but has the hub bolt pattern to match the SHO crank. This way I can use any mustang clutch and the factory clutch cable setup. There will be more updates as I build but will surely take some time.
