Ha What would you do if you were the President or CEO of Ford and were developing a high performance car back in the day? You would have a few 'special' cars with a setup that was slightly different than the rest of them and paint it in a way that showed it. Of course it would not be released as public knowledge but some people would recognize this. Do you think that all Corvettes and Cobras were built the same... or are there a few of them that have a 'little extra". This is why they have different models of each car... It doesn't stop with just a fundamental Mustang.. There is the mustang GT, the Cobra, the 6 cylinder and this goes on... These sub categories have sub categories particularly when it comes to performance cars. This is why they race cars and support the drag racing and Indy style racing events. The hundred different models that exist from the car in the showroom and the one at the Pomona Finals include all contingencies. Naive I am not, uninformed either. There are Cobras that have that 'extra" and they have been painted or marked as special. The worst performing car is going to get the special color? I don't think so. The opposite would be true. You would give a special color only to the highest quality and strongest cars when it comes to performance vehicles. Or am I wrong? Maybe its Orange..... Maybe its Mystichrome. Maybe it's not.
