I had the same problem with my 04 kenne bell 2 valve. I am using the x4. Mike Murillo tune. I was trying to change to the 6psi tune and froze in the middle of the upload. I have heard from SCT that on these cars if the voltage is too low it could interfere. I tried a fully topped battery to no avail. I even tried the full battery with all other electronics off. Door closed, lights off. I then went into troubleshoot mode. I checked voltage at various locations around the ecu. All looked good. After a couple of days of just sitting, I decided to try again and it worked. To this day I don't know what was going on. I will be going stand alone one of these days. Maybe jiggling the wires helped, I don't know. Next time I will just blow on the ecu like the original Nintendo cartridges. Tired of paying tuners. Nothing against tuners, I just keep changing my mind on engine swaps. For some reason my 01 4.6 f150 lightning swap can switch tunes left and right. Good luck.
