need help w/ steeda shifter please

I installed the steeda shifter base part on the tranny and the directions did not say what side the handle goes on driver or pasenger.The part of the shifter that sticks up out of the tranny that the handle mounts to, please let me know if you mounted it to driver or pasenger side.
