need help with bellhousing and tranny

I bought a 03 cobra with no motor and the tranny was all apart so I have no idea whats supposed to be there and what's not. I need to know where the thin metal plate is. I know there is one between the bellhousing and motor but is there one between the bellhousing and trans? if not is there anything in between them? pictures would help alot also. I heard there is a inspection plate some where is that what the thin metal plate between the bellhousing and back of the motor is please help me out with some pictures so I get a better idea of what I am doing thanks in advance.

Goes like this from front to back......

Motor > guide plate > bellhousing > trans. Nothing goes between the bell and trans, just bolt them up.

The inspection cover goes on the outside of the bellhousing and is held by a single screw. It can be installed at anytime and to be honest is not even necessary. Lots of people leave the cover off for extra ventilation. But if you daily drive and lots of debris or water could get in there than I would use it.
