Be honest with yourself, if you are wanting to turn the GT500 into a face melting tire shredding beast, a 13-14 will make it easier to get there but you can certainly do it with a 2010.
I must be a poser then with my 13-14 tail lights AND 13-14 headlights on my 2011 GT500. Hell, I should badge down to a Base mustang and really embrace it. :/ Nothing wrong with a 2010. Be honest with yourself, if you are wanting to turn the GT500 into a face melting tire shredding beast, a 13-14 will make it easier to get there but you can certainly do it with a 2010. Realistically the engine management system on the 2011-2014 is superior to the 07-10 GT500s. So if you want to go performance, the 13-14 is ALSO a better idea. But, if all you want is the LOOK of the 13-14, you could get a 10 and get the parts for 13-14. Even with 13-14 appearance parts on it its STILL a GT500. Id have an issue if you were asking between a 13-14 GT and clone up to a GT500 with lights an badges or a 13-14 GT500. There is only one guy on here that has the right to call his overhauled Mustang GT a GT500 and thats @LEXiiON. That man put some WORK into his car. GT500s are on the down turn as far as value goes. Mine's lost 12K since I bought it 4 years ago (retail and private party). The 13-14 has held decently, but its come down as well. When the 2020 GT500 launches, its anyone's guess.
