Well I have been waiting for almost 5 months to get this motor back from the builder to make a thread and here it is. Short background was I bought the car last February with a built motor......Stock block, diamond pistons(stock comp), stock rods, stock crank, ARP throughout. Car made 701/763 on 20psi through a Turbonetics 7668. I put almost 2,000 miles on it and the motor grenaded at the track on my second pass. Turns out their were some assembly errors during the prior build. Stock block was done and not reuseable because this piston couldnt take anymore abuse. [IMG][/IMG] New build consists of a Teksid block .030, Wiseco -6cc Forged Pistons, Wisecos ring pack, New manley H-beams with ARP2000 rod bolts, Arp Main studs and ARP side bolts. The previous crank was cut too much and not reuseable so I used a factory 98 cobra crank. [IMG][/IMG] The heads are stock but the valves were damaged and some of the chambers were pitted from debri. Manley stainless valves were installed after a valve job. I also removed the stock intake cams and replaced them with 98 cobra intake cams for a low budget add on to help spool the turbo and little faster and maybe add a few horsepower. [IMG][/IMG] Gonna throw 16-17psi at this motor with 93+24gph of 100% VP M1 Methanol and hopefully make low 700s.
