Hello guys, I was on this forum back in 2007 when I had a 99 Lightning. I forgot my user name therefore I wanted to briefly introduce myself. I have constantly scanned these forums for the last several years hoping one day I would purchase another Lightning. Fast forward to about two weeks ago, I was driving through my small town when I saw a sn95 cobra sitting on the side of the road for sale. I knew the adult in my should have continued down the road but I couldn’t resist, I had to turn around to stop and take a look. To my surprise it was a 96 black on black coupe with 41,500 miles original miles. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, the inner child I mr was jumping up and down. I began to crawl under it and was astonished how clean the underside was (very uncommon in the northeast). I got talking the owner and he informed me that he bought it off the original owner approximately two years ago. The original owner garage kept it from new until the current owner purchased it. The car is most stock with the exception of what I believe is a Steeda CAI, flowermaster catback and some sort of short throw shifter. To further sweeten the deal the original window sticker and SVT certificate was included.! The owner gave me a quick test ride and the child in me couldn’t resist but to negotiate a deal. The first thing on my agenda is to get this paint squared away. I am very picky and this black paint needs hours and hours of correcting to bring it up to my standard. I am going to correct the paint next week (going to take me a couple days). I will have pictures in the near future. Sorry for the long rant, I just wanted to introduce myself.
