[QUOTE="NMRA1965, post: 15539940, member: 159017"] Kicking off the 2017 NMRA Keystone Automotive Ford Nationals season is a spectacle to behold – a feast for the Ford fanatic – as Bradenton Motorsports Park is filled to the brim with the Blue Oval faithful, March 2-5. This is no ordinary drag race. In fact, The 23rd Annual Nitto Tire Spring Break Shootout is the biggest all-Ford drag race in Florida, and this year promises to be the biggest yet – highlighted by an incredible lineup of specialty events ranging from the Watson Racing Cobra Jet Shootout, to the insane Outlaw True Street class sponsored by ididit. Those however are just a small part of an action-packed weekend, which begins in earnest on Friday March 3rd, featuring 10 regular NMRA classes as well as a wide range of specialty races. At the core of this event, as has been for the previous 22-years, is the Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords Magazine Spring Break Shootout Presented by JLT Performance – a race among the quickest and fastest True Street racers in the country. More than 100 street legal cars will gather in Bradenton on Saturday to battle for bragging rights and to become one the sweet-16 to race racing in a four round battle on Sunday to determine an overall winner. Another facet of True Street will be the TREMEC Stick Shift Shootout which this year pairs the quickest four manually-shifted cars from Saturdays QA1 True Street class against each other in a high-winding, gear-grinding two round finale. Add to that the ididit Outlaw True Street class, designed for the over-the-top insane combinations, for drivers who will be racing their own race on Saturday night, and you have the ingredients for one of the best races of the year!
