I didn't really find the information I was looking for searching so I thought I'd probe this question to you guys.

My exhaust setup is currently the factory manifolds with a BBK o/r X and magnaflow cat-back. I like the sound but it's too loud for me anymore. I want to quite the car down and get rid of the rasp from the BBK pipe. I am not spending any more money on this car as it is currently being dumped into my 1969 Firebird pro-touring project. This leaves me with the factory mid-pipe to solve my sound issues.

I'm guessing I'm going to loose a little power going back to the stock mid-pipe. What my major concern is has to do with my tune. My tune is setup for an off-road pipe. If i place the stock piece back on the car am I going to mess with my tune and possibly hurt the engine?

I could put the car on the dyno after the swap and get A/F but the nearest dyno is an hour away and that $80.00 could be better put to use on the Firebird.

what do you guys think?
