O2 sensor

Working on fixing my af gauge currently not working, I found this on the header o2 sensor would this be it? I've never seen this before

I think I'd have another bung welded after the upstream sensor. Give the gases a little more time to mix.

If you mean use the bungs, you could, but it's not ideal. The sensor needs to be within a certain distance of the collector to get a good reading. Plus the further you get from the head the longer any changes in fueling take to show up.

Gauge is showing 18 at idle and cruising around still shows 18 under wot its at 12 maybe the gauge is failing ?

That’s too high, should be 14.7 or so at idle, 11.8 or so depending on fuel at WOT.

That is a wide band, not just an O2. Proper orientation is the sensor needs to be mounted on the top half of the pipe for moisture reasons and close to the collector. Looks like a Bosch sensor, they do get fouled and go bad.

Look up the brand gauge and see about a calibration step. If not, replace the sensor.
