AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS THOUGHT ABOUT A PAINTED BLOWER?
My 00' L #388 is in the shop right now getting a new intercooler. I was under the hood the other day putting water in my reservoir and I said,"Hey, what about a painted blower." So I am taking advantage right know since my blower is off and I am getting it painted the color of my truck (WHITE). The guy next door in the body shop said the paint will stick very well and it is going to cost me about $125 or so. What do you think about having a painted blower? I think it will really set my motor off! I will post pictures as soon as I get my truck back next week some time. It should go well with my painted wheels, SS mirrors, and tailgate handle.

I had mine blasted with plastic media to get any coating off the aluminum in hope that it might let it throw off a little more heat. But I tend to be a fanatic at times.

Paint

Exactly.. the paint will cause the unit to hold more heat. Would look good, but you would lose a little boost.

So, polishing is the way to go......not painting or chroming? I like to do something once. If you polish, you have to do it over.....and over.... and.............
