Hey guys,
Got a VDO "eliminator" shift light drilled into my car. When my shop went to wire it in the car would stall. I found out online I need a "tach adapter" so I purchased one through MSD. Now with it hooked up the car will run, but the shift light just goes on and won't read anything. My shop is now being told that the shift lights require a "programmable tach" which the Mach 1 doesn't have. I guess their trying to figure out how to program the factory tach with a shift point (say 6000rpm) for the light, and they can't figure out how right now. Does anybody know anything about this? I'm kind of past the point of no return with this shift light, so returning it for a "raptor" is out.
