Please tell me what this is .... oil related

I was adding oil to my 2004 F150 FX4 SC tonight and when I took off the oil cap I noticed some light brown "gunk" both on the inner cap and on the filler neck attached to the heads.

Any idea what this might be? I haved changed the oil a million times on this thing and that has never been there.

I'm thinking some kind of condensation .....

Yes, condensation. Light brown milky schmeg. I noticed the same on my 05.

Making a lot of short trips where the engine doesn't really warm up can cause that.

Good, thanks! .... Curious that it has taken this long to do it .... Have owned the truck for 4+ years and it has never done it.

Oh well .... on to the next exciting adventure!
