The first owner put on a 8lb lower while retaining the stock upper. It was tuned for that setup...and still is up until this point. Owner #2 was told the car had a 4lb lower. This winter owner #2 put a ported posi on the car that already had a 2.93 upper, then sold the car to me before he had the chance to really do anything with it due to the time of season. It has not really been driven to any extent with that current setup. Owner #2 told me it had a 4lb lower because that was what he was told by owner #1. I then purchased all the supporting mods to get full potential of the posi such as injectors, BAP, FPDM rewire, and SCT BA2600 MAF. I Decided to measure all pulleys because I wanted a fresh belt on the car before sending it to be tuned and then that is when I discovered it was actually an 8lb lower. So that left me with a bad pulley combo that I was not expecting after the fact that I've spent a ton of money on the car in the last month (including the price of the car) and still need to send it off to be tuned once I get the 6# lower on it. I am just trying to get the car in good enough shape for the spring to enjoy it at this point. I could only find the 4# metco sold as an entire kit and could not justify shelling out another $429 for a crank pulley kit when I needed only the ring. Not to mention the pulley charts show only a 0.9psi difference between a 2.93/4# and 2.93/6# pulley combo (16.2psi vs 17.1psi) so I had to bite the bullet and go with the 6# for $45.
